IMPHAL, July 18: Close on the heels of a tripartite agreement signed today between West Bengal government, central government and Gorkha Janmukti Morcha for a new-autonomous Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA), the Sadar Hills district demand in Manipur is back in the reckoning after a prolonged lull with the demand committee drawing a comprehensive road map at a meeting in Kangpokpi today by taking political parties and politicians in confidence.

The meeting thoroughly discussed matters relating to attainment of Sadar Hills district. It also deliberated on the socio-political and economic backwardness of the area and the public sentiment steering the renewed political and democratic movement for the cause of full fledged district of Sadar Hills, said Sadar Hills District Demand Committee members after a joint meeting today of the committee and political parties held at the District Council in Kangpokpi.
