Kipgen’s interaction with Manipur University Eimi Welfare Society and KRF

Nehginpao Kipgen, a political scientist and General Secretary of the U.S.-based Kuki International Forum (KIF), was given a warm reception by the Manipur University Eimi Welfare Society (MU-EWS) and Kuki Research Forum (KRF) at Manipur University campus in Imphal in the evening of May 8, 2014. The reception program was followed by an interactive session.

Among others, Kipgen discussed the importance and significance of writing and publication, and encouraged young scholars to strive for becoming internationally renowned scholar.

Earlier in the day, Kipgen presented a paper titled “Ethnicity in Myanmar and Its Importance to the Success of Democracy” at the international conference jointly organized by Centre for Myanmar Studies and Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, Manipur University (MU). The paper has been accepted by Routledge (Taylor & Francis) for publication in the United Kingdom.
