Lhunkhothang Guite conferred PhD by Delhi University

Lhunkhothang Guite, who hails from the state of Manipur in Northeast India, was recently awarded Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by the Department of African Studies, Delhi University.

Guite, who went for a field trip to Kenya in 2012, submitted his thesis entitled “The role of the Indian Diaspora in the context of globalization: A case study of Kenya” under the supervision of Associate Professor and head of the department A.S. Yaruingam.

In 2009, Guite submitted his Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) dissertation entitled “Problem and prospect of Indian Diaspora in Madagascar: from 1960-2007.”
