Nengneilhing Khongsai conferred PhD by JNU

Nengneilhing Khongsai was conferred a doctorate degree by the Centre of Social Medicine and Community Health (CSMCH), School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), on December 13, 2013.

Khongsai, who hails from Manipur state in Northeast India, wrote her thesis on “Lifelihood and Health: A Study Among the Kukis in Manipur” under the supervision of Professor Ritu Priya Mehrotra.

Khongsai, who currently works as a research associate at the Evangelical Fellowship of India Commission on Relief (EFICOR), is one of the contributing authors of an upcoming book titled “Kuki Women,” published by Synergy Books India, a Bookwell publication.
